Super 8 by Wyndham Appomattox VA

I never leave reviews but I feel that this motel deserves a honest one. First off I'm a travel nurse and have been all over and stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels. There was a event and kids going back to college in Lynchburg which is about 20 minutes away and that's where the hospital is. My hotel plans fell through so I was desperate and this is the only place that had a room. It was a smoking room and I hate cigarettes but I had no choice. The room was very clean the bed very comfortable of course it was a smoking room so it smelled like smoke but being clean and comfy I settled in. I moved to a non smoking room when available and it was even better extremely clean and the bed was super soft! I came back two weeks later to stay in between my permanent housing and stayed in a huge king bed room and it was also extremely clean and comfortable. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. As far as dirty carpet and bad smells you can get that anywhere even at a more expensive hotel. I did not notice dirty carpets in any of the rooms I stayed in but I always wear shoes in the room. I did notice that a lot of construction workers stayed here so I'm sure it's hard keeping the carpets in the hallways clean. Everything worked just fine and the television was pretty big and in great shape. Good job Super 8 Appomattox VA!

Easy to get to Liberty University. But this was a difficult stay for a mom with small children. We were on the second floor, and they have no luggage carts or elevators. The room was clean except for the shower head—I cleaned it myself. Friendly staff. No other issues—thanks!

I was very happy with my stay they were very polite willing to work with you allowed pets and the staff especially the fellow that I dealt with with very respectful understanding and just overall seem to be a good place with Good vibes

Room im good shape except missing 3 light bulbs. Requested by text message; so response.. Also bathroom sink stopper broken.

We stayed at the Super 8 on a family trip. This is an older motel, but the rooms were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. A small continental breakfast is available in the morning that offers cereal, oatmeal packets, bread, and fresh fruit. There is NO ELEVATOR, which for me made it very difficult due to health reasons. If you are mobility limited, you need to make them aware in advance to make sure there is a first-floor room available for you. My son had stayed here once before, and we'd be happy to stay here again. The rooms were reasonably priced, and we were satisfied with our stay.

Always clean, always friendly staff. Stay here very often and never regret it. If you're coming to the Appomattox area I was suggest this place as there are only two other hotels one is good if you're looking for illegal things the other one is good if you've got $150 a night to spend in your budget. This place is both affordable and clean

Nice older hotel. Although it was an older building, it was well kept and our room was clean and comfortable. Great staff. Very personable. Plenty of grassy areas if you have four legged family members with you. There is a pet fee. (Thank you to all the pet owners who have let their pets mess up rooms). Coffee was really good. Right on the main road. Less than 10 minutes from Appomattox. Definitely would stay there again.
